Rules & Regulations

DO’s

  • All the students should come to school in full school uniform and in prescribed uniform for P.T. and Scouts and Guides classes.
  • Every student should pay respect to his/her teachers and elders whether in or outside the school campus.
  • All the students should stand up as a mark of respect when a teacher enters the class and remain standing till they are asked to sit. At the end of the period when the teacher leaves the class-room they should rise again and take their seats quietly. students should come to school neat and tidy. Special attention should be paid to the personal hygiene, i.e., daily bath, neat turnout, proper hair-cut (boys), proper cutting of fingernails etc.
  • Students should rather walk than run while mobbing about in the school premises. They should not disturb other classes.
  • Homework should be done regularly and sincerely with good handwriting.
  • Absolute silence should be maintained while going to and coming back from the Assembly, Physical Education classes, Library and Laboratory.
  • Students who are given any responsibility should carry it out dutifully and impartially in accordance with the direction of the Principal or the teacher deputed by him. They should consider it as a service to the school and their fellow students.
  • Progress Report should be duly signed by thStudents themselves are responsible for their personal, belongings such as, bicycles, books, tiffin carriers etc. The school does not accept any responsibility for the loss of such things.
  • Students should submit their assignments or projects to the teachers concerned in time.
  • Students should write their names on text books, note books, tiffin boxes etc. to recognize their belongings easily.

DONT’s

  • No student can leave the class during school hours. It any student has to go home he/she should get the permission of the class teacher and the Principal.
  • Students should not write or scratch on the school walls and furniture. Any damage done to the school property should be borne by the students themselves.
  • Tampering with the entries made in the Progress Report or Dairy is liable to severe disciplinary action.
  • Students are strictly forbidden from attending he school wearing costly jewels. They should not bring any valuable things to school.
  • Irregular attendance, habitual idleness, neglect of homework, disobedience and disrespect towards teachers or nay member of the non-teaching staff and other reprehensible behavior may entail suspension or expulsion from the school.
  • Parents or servants who bring tiffin to the students are not allowed to enter the class rooms. Students themselves should fetch it after the bell rings.
  • Students should not keep their bicycles without locks or locking.
  • StudeThe following practices may entail expulsion from the school,
  • Participation in any act prejudicial to national interest.
  • Moral turpitude.
  • Practice of casteism, communalism or untouchability.
  • Theft or cheating.
  • Showing disrespect or disobedience towards teachers or elders.
  • Use of violence in any form.
  • Damaging school property.
  • Truancy.

LIBRARY RULES AND REGULATIONS

  • Absolute silence should be maintained inside the Library during the time of reading, referring, taking and returning the books.
  • No one shall bring personal belongings inside the Library.
  • Students are allowed to borrow only one book per ticket and retain it for a period of 7 days. The class teacher/librarian may call for the return of the book borrowed by any member even before the expiry of the normal period of 7 days if it is urgent/necessary.
  • Reference books cannot, under any circumstances, be taken our of the Library.
  • If the book borrowed is not returned to the librarian/teacher on the due date a fine of 50 paise per day will be levied.
  • Books lost, damaged or handled carelessly will have to be paid for or replaced. The decision of the Principal in this matter shall be final and binding.
  • Library books will be issued according to the class-wise schedule informed by the librarian.
  • Students misbehaving inside the library will be severely punished.
  • There will be no issue of books during the summer vacation.
  • Students found guilty of stealing the library books shall be expelled from the school.

ATTENDANCE

  • The pupils should be in the school campus before the first ball. For late comers attendance is not given.
  • Parents should see that their children do not absent themselves from school except under unavoidable circumstances.
  • If a pupil is to be absent from school, an application fro leave duly signed by the parent/guardian must be made and sanction obtained prior to absence.
  • In the case of absence due to sickness or other emergencies a leave letter must be sent to the school on the first day of absence.
  • If a pupil seeks leave for more than two days, the leave letter should be sent to the Principal.
  • Irregular attendance and prolonged absence may lead to removal from the school.
  • Pupils suffering from infectious diseases will not be allowed to attend the school.
  • A medical certificate will have to produced to cover any absence due to illness for a period exceeding five days.
  • The name of the pupil will be struck off the rolls if he/she absents for more than 10 days without prior permission. Re-admission may be given only if seats are available.
  • Students should not absent from any test or examination.
  • A minimum of 75% attendance is require for promotion to the next higher class. Ti includes the attendance put in the previous school if the student has been admitted on transfer.
  • Pupils should not leave the school campus during the school time without the permission of the Headmaster and the class teacher.
  • Absence on the re-opening day is not allowed.

FORMS OF DISCIPLINARY MEASURES

  • The following disciplinary measure may be adopted by the school in dealing with erring pupils who violate any of the above mentioned rules and regulations.
    • Warning
    • Fine
    • Rustication for a period to be specified.
    • Expulsion from the school.

PARENT-TEACHER ASSOCIATION

  • All parents are members of the parent-teacher association of the school. The aims and objectives of the association are:
    • To bring better understanding of the problems of the pupils, parents, teachers and help to find solution.
    • To be in close touch with the pupil’s progress, discipline, health, obedience to teachers, regularity in doing assignments etc.,
    • To arrange meetings, seminars and cultural programmes for improving the relationship between parents, pupils and teachers.
    • To raise funds for the specific purpose of pupils welfare. The parent-teacher association is expected to meet periodically.
